CYCLING PLUS MAGAZINE have tested the Rainlegs™ in December 2005. The result: a score of 9 out of 10; PRODUCT OF THE YEAR and RECOMMENDED BUY. "The idea is to keep the rain off your lap and upper legs -which tend to get the most wet - without overheating you like full overtrousers. And they work."
CTC Magazine - Kit Review: "..Their half-shell construction allows them to keep the worst of the rain and jacket-runoff off your legs without restricting movement or producing a build up of condensation."
SHE CYCLES - test : "I take my kit testing seriously and picked a day with weather so foul that when I asked my training partner/coach/husband if he was coming with me, he just laughed! But they proved to be every bit as good as they promised."
VELOVISION MAGAZINE - Product Review: "..I for one have been doing without full waterproof trousers for years; my legs just get too hot. Instead I leave a change of trousers at work "just in case"...Rainlegs™ are a good alternative"
AtoB MAGAZINE: "Unless you already own a pair of these, your cycling wardrobe will be
incomplete. Rainlegs™ are a simple yet ingenious solution for upper leg
protection. They cover the tops of your legs like an apron, which is
reasonable enough, given that the rain usually falls that way. Anyone who has
ridden in the rain knows that itąs the facing upper leg top that becomes wet
and sodden long before the other bits, and that clinging discomfort can
restrict leg movement until long after the rain stops. "
Below a few experiences with Rainlegs™:
"Dear people, First of all I thanks you for the quick delivery of my Rainlegs™. In the
meantime I have tested the Rainlegs™. I can tell you that I am very content
with them. The Rainlegs™ are really doing what they are supposed to do; keep
my legs dry and warm during a fall of rain. Fantastic, Your promises came
true. They are realy quick to use and after drying pretty easy to wear
again. I can recommend the Rainlegs™ to others also. Best Regards, K.S The
Hague."
"Hi, at long last something cycling people in The Netherlands have been waiting for. I am a normal city cyclist who has been looking for something like this for years. A good invention for anybody who hates sweaty waterproof trousers. Kind regards, Oda van Duijl."
"My comments about Rainlegs™; I am now certain that I will have them on me for every match. I have worn them a few times now in the rain, running and cycling, but that even your knees stay warm and dry and that you can sit on the ground with protection, is ideal!! They hardly take up any space at all, and even running with them is not a hindrance. The only thing that caused me some hassle was a tree trunk across the road that I hit whilst getting off my mtb. I got stuck with the straps behind the saddle. I suppose that’s just getting used to them. It was down to me they could have come out much earlier. Kind regards, Mark, member of the Dutch Adventure Racing Team."
"I am very enthusiastic about the Rainlegs™. Friday it was quite drizzly. In the morning I forgot my Rainlegs™ and my trousers became soaked slowly but surely. In the afternoon I did put them on and they worked perfectly well. I also received some positive comments about them. Kind regards, Jos Sluijsmans, Cycling Services (Fietsdiensten) Nijmegen"
"With these Rainlegs™ I can ride my horse very well. You don’t even notice that you are wearing them. And not only for the outside rides. During the warming up in the outside enclosure, my white riding trousers stay dry and clean for the match. Kind regards, Daphne van Buuren"
"Dear Rainlegs™ Company, Recently I have ordered a couple of Rainlegs™ and received them very quickly. Thanks. The product does so well that I would like to order another three pairs. Regards, Hans Loeffen, Oss"
"I happen to be in Scotland quite often and two weeks ago we had 8 times 24 hours worth of rain! PackLite is not good enough (too vulnerable) and in order to avoid having to wear heavier Gore-Tex trousers I bought the Rainlegs™. They seem to work well for the time being. Willem"
"Hi, it has taken a while, but at long last some feedback on the usage of the Rainlegs™ on a reclining cycle. A real downpour we still haven’t had yet. We remain lucky whilst cycling. During a normal shower they work well and it’s nice that the upper legs are protected. They are doing well so far. Kind regards, Jos van der Poel"
"At long last it has come about” Last night I tried them. Enthusiastic! Still a lot of manoeuvrability left and the most important parts of the legs are covered and stay dry. Regards, Kees de Vrij, Amsterdam, Speed skating Trainer Duosport en Skits"
"Rainlegs™ keep my upper legs dry and warm. During cycling races in wet, cold and windy conditions the upper leg muscles have got a lot to suffer. So it’s nice that they can stay dry and that the cold cannot get at them, so that my muscles remain supple. That way there is enough left for the final stages and you can leave your opponents behind. Dirk-Jan van Reek, Voorhout"
"Rainlegs™ is a fantastic product for me as it makes sure that I retain dry legs, it is light and attached quickly. I cycle twice every week, regardless of the weather, on my racing bike from Amsterdam to Houten. The old fashioned alternative, the waterproofs, are uncomfortable, are heavier and lasts longer to put on. In short: a real gain for the racing cyclist as well as the occasional cyclist. Gerard Couprie, Houten"
"And it worked as well! Walking up the mountain in the Eifel I didn’t get too hot (my girlfriend in her Gore-Tex did) and my legs stayed dry... Robin van Dijk, Amsterdam"
"A few weeks ago I ordered The Rainlegs™. I took them with me during my biking
tour from the Netherlands to Rome. Ik can tell you from my own experience
that you are selling a fantastic and very usefull product, which offered me
a great service.
Jan Houben, Ittervoort."

Raincover for the upper legs
You can not call it rain-trousers. Rainlegs™ consists of two parts made out
of a waterproof fabric, which you roll out just until under your knees. It
only covers the upper-legs and knees because they are catching most of the
rainfal. And because the backside of the Rainlegs™ are open, there is no
sticky sweat. The two parts are fixed with quick fasteners. When it is dry
again you can easy wear it like a belt. To use it Rainlegs™ are quick and
easy. During a test ride in the rainy weather one leg covered and on leg
uncovered the Rainlegs™ worked fine. The covered leg stayed nice dry an warm
and the other leg was wet and cold. During cycling it is comfortable an easy
to wear.
